Tipatshimuna: Innu stories from the land is an educational Web site in French and English, with audio clips in Innu-aimun (the Innu language). The site features an introduction to the culture and history of the Innu people of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It was developed in collaboration with Innu Elders and other community representatives, as well as various cultural organizations, museums, institutions, and government agencies from across Canada. The stories and images of the Innu land and culture are presented through travel routes, audio recordings of place names, a glossary, video footage, detailed object records with images and audio clips, music and artwork by Innu artists, stories written by Innu students, Elders’ narratives and biographies, and a database of Innu-created objects from Canadian museum collections.
