Abstract
This article describes the Indian and Inuit Art Collection of Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC), and how it is managed, used, and made accessible to Aboriginal people across Canada. As well, the article provides testimonials from respected Aboriginal leaders who have collaborated with the Indian and Inuit Art Collection on the importance of art and on the meaning and sacred nature of some types of objects in this collection.
