This manual has been prepared to assist piping engineers to make the optimum use of plastics piping, by providing both general and specific data on commercially available plastics piping products. Reinforced thermoset plastics piping is covered briefly; manufacturers should be consulted for more detail. Much relevant data has been generated over the years since plastics piping became available commercially, by material suppliers, convertors, independent test laboratories and others. This Manual attempts to present the available information in a usable format. Although products in volume production are given the more detailed consideration, mention is also made of a number of products which are available for specialized applications; some information on other plastics materials which are not commercially available in pipe form at this time are included for completeness.
