Specific ion electrodes are available to measure many of the common ions used in electroplating. Measuring techniques using electrodes include direct calibration curves, known addition and subtraction, and titrations. Among others, examples are given for measuring low chloride levels, available chlorine, both free and bound cyanide, fluoroborate, and chromate. Also discussed is the use of Gran's Plot Paper to simplify titrations and for the measurement of strong acid in a pickling bath.
