Abstract
The technology of fumiture painting was studied in Bavaria on furniture dating from the 17th to the 19th century. The pigments and the techniques of application to wood surfaces are described in detail. The use of painting horns, a technique common for the decoration of pottery, was possible also for the drawing on furniture.
