Abstract
Questions whether a restorer of paintings, sculptures, and mural paintings requires an artistic and aesthetic training, or simply the knowledge of restoration work. Based on the definition of the art concept, the restorer's task is described, and it is pointed out that the restorer's sensitization to the phenomenon of art is just as essential as technical training.
