Abstract
A model of a porous material is described that is pertinent for the study of penetrating characteristics of liquids, i.e. monodisperse system of spherical particles. The model was realized as a glass tube that was closed with a polyamide net at the bottom, and than filled with a narrow fraction of microspherical glass particles with a diameter of about 10<sup>-1</sup> mm. The experimental part of the paper describes the basic characteristics of the model, i.e. the granulometry of microspherical particles used and the porosity of the layer formed.
