Samples of man-made fibers were put in separate glass containers without light to study aging. The humidity range was 30-70%, the temperature was 15-20°C, and the duration of aging was 20-25 years. Some mechanical characteristics were affected, notably in casein and nylon fibers. Polyester and polyvinyl chloride fibers are completely resistant to aging.
