Abstract
Describes the lighting project for the Regensburg Bridge in the region of Bavaria, Germany. The 160-metre stone bridge, which crosses the Danube River, was lit with one continuous arrangement of light-emitting diodes (LED). This uninterrupted light, besides emphasizing the morphology of the bridge, serves as a metaphor for linking both river banks. The LED that were installed are of the type LIN-EARlightFlex, produced by OPTO Semiconductors GmbH. Further information on LEDs is provided.(Abstractor’s note: illustrations are only provided in the English version of the article.)
