Abstract
In the present work an investigation procedure for the evaluation of seismic risk of ancient monuments composed by columns and columnades is explained. The procedure deals with an experimental dynamic investigation, an accurate numerical modelling for the interpretation of experimental data and at last the prediction of dynamic behaviour under seismic excitation. An application to the Temple of Castor and Pollux in the Roman Forum is at last developed.
