Abstract
The 16th-century pulpit at Austad is one of the oldest ones in Norway, and it has undergone alterations in 1634, towards 1700, and in 1845. The examination aimed at the identification of the elements of the various stages of transformation, which formed the basis for a restoration where all the four periods are displayed. -- AATA
