Abstract
In this style of painting, cloths, ornaments and details were painted in slight relief and covered with jewels or semi-precious stones of various sizes. Pieces of mirrors were fixed on the ornamental portions to produce a dazzling effect. Painting was done on wooden panels. Sometimes several panels were joined together to make a large panel. Problems of deterioration and treatment methods have been discussed. -- AATA
