An improved technique for the accurate reassembly of large plaster piece-moulds made in the field is described. The proposed method relies on the construction, within the main mould, of supporting detachable plaster arches which are accurately surveyed and planned <i>in situ and subsequently easily reassembled prior to the making of the final cast.
