The results obtained from several years of work related to controlling the climate in the monuments containing murals offers a general presentation about the character, scope and results from the work performed. Described are ther ecommendations for the inside parameters as well as for adopting an outside winter temperature higher than the standard one. Tentative data have also been determined about the average number of visitors and the heat load resulting from illumination. Recommendations, designs and specifications have been prepared for equipment to be used in maintaining the climate in a number of monuments in Bulgaria.
