Symposium on preservation of paper and textiles of historical and artistic value. II.
Abstract
Degradative effect of ultraviolet light is increased in paper containing zinc oxide (alkaline reserve after diethyl zinc paper deacidification process). To inhibit accelerated degradation, paper was treated with iodine (0, 05% is sufficient to inhibit degradation). Possibility to modify diethyl zinc process to leave zinc carbonate as alkaline reserve. With tables.
