High concentrations of ethylene oxide can cause central nervous system damage, skin, eye and respiratory irritation including bronchitis and chemical pneumonia, and nerve damage. Lower concentrations can cause reproductive effects in men and women and leukemia and other cancers. Summarizes osha's standard on occupational exposure to ethylene oxide.
