Abstract
A 13,800-year pollen record and associated plant macrofossil data are described from Ballinloghig Lake. By ca. 4100 BP, hardwoods were greatly reduced, with a rise in wetland taxa attributed to blanket bog formation caused by human disturbance and climatic change.
