Abstract
In his capacity as woodworker and ophthalmologist, the author describes three kinds of eye protection and indicates in what cases they apply: high-horsepower machinery calls for maximum protection, i. e. safety glasses and a face shield; safety glasses with side shields and goggles should be used in other work situations he describes in detail, recommending the added strength of polycarbonate prescription lenses. Work with chemicals and irritants calls for the wearing of special goggles. Additional information is provided on sources of supplies and average prices for protection equipment. -- AATA
