Abstract
X-ray radiography of a West Tibetan seated bronze Buddha figure revealed the presence of relics inside. This paper presents a description of the opening of the statue, and the results of both technical and art historical studies of the contents. Another metal Buddha statue, textiles, and clay tablets were among the objects found. Carbon-14 dating of sawdust these objects were packed in provided a date for the final sealing of those objects inside the piece. -- AATA
