Abstract
This paper describes the function of a bone tool, or awl, found at Erbina, in Oñati province, still used 20 to 30 years ago by an 87-year old farmer to graft fruit trees. One of the characteristics that need pointing out is the similarity of this tool with others found inside the chambers of some dolmens in Guipúzcoa. The tool thus seems to have survived since Neolithic times. However, changes have been observed in its modern use. -- AATA
