Conservation workshops sponsored by the bilateral indo-us subcommission on education and culture involved conservators and scientists from india and the united states. Exchange of personnel, development of advanced training programs for conservators, and joint research efforts have been the result. 4 workshops are summarized, a 5th is proposed. Those presented included conservation of library and archive materials, conservation of mural paintings, air pollution damage to cultural property and conservation of stone. Metals is proposed.
