Abstract
The textiles recovered by the Dutch expeditions in the Tellem burial caves in Mali are analyzed. Mostly of cotton, the garments are distinguished by balanced plain weave, weftfaced plain weave, and other constructions; relevant data are tabulated. Hypotheses are posed on the homogeneity of the textiles, looms used, and other cultural phenomena.
