Abstract
The luciferase system and other chemiluminescent systems and materials characteristically emit electromagnetic radiation in the visible spectrum. Chemiluminescence measurement techniques can be used to develop an understanding of degradation/reaction mechanisms; predict service life of materials; effect of structural differences on a material's stability; and the effects of environment on a material.
