Some of the experiences gathered from the participation of Denmark in the Viking exhibition in England, the U.S.A., and Sweden are described. The construction of the boxes, the packing, the transport, the unpacking and the mounting of the objects in the museums are discussed. The author points out that the courier is indispensable during trans-shipment; in addition, his knowledge of the objects is very important at the mounting in the museum.
