Abstract
The importance of documentation in the field of cultural property is discussed, especially relating to conservation. Because the task is large, the use of computers has been suggested to store and retrieve data on various related aspects which have been identified. A collaboration with a computer technologist is proposed to achieve the goal so that documentation is complete in every aspect.
