Abstract
The ingredients or copal varnish are: 16 parts copal dur, 30 parts alcohol, and 4 parts Venetian turpentine. Also included is a recipe for a mixture to clean the grime from wooden parts of antique tools: 1 part linseed oil, 1 part vinegar, 1 part turpentine substitute, and 1/2 part meths.
