Abstract

The intergranular diffusion of zinc in aluminum has been studied in bending twin crystals around the Ã‰46001Ãœ0 axis, using micrography and the electron probe. The phenomenon is very sensitive to the grain boundary structure, conditioned by the relative disorientation for the two crystals, and to the direction taken by the diffusing element.
