This work deals with the existing buildings of Gastown (Canada). Relying on experience and using graphs in their demonstration, the authors suggest ways to increase resistance to earthquakes: improving a building so that it moves as a whole, binding walls and floors, and resorting to different systems of resistance and reinforcing the walls. -- AATA
