Following the exceptional discovery in 1954 of a royal ship dating from ca. 2500 B.C., on the site of the great pyramid of Giza, the Haq Ahmed Youssef, a restoration specialist, undertook its study and reassembly. Various chemical and natural products were used during the restoration, such as protective coatings and adhesives.
