This short article describes reproduction musical instruments made by biochemist and amateur violin maker Joseph Nagyvary compared with contemporary concert-quality stringed instruments. Nagyvary uses contemporary techniques to reproduce the methods used by 17th century Italian violin makers like Antonio Stradivari.
