Abstract
A conference on the packing and transportation of paintings was held in London the week of September 14, 1991. It was organized jointly by the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C., the Conservation Analytical Laboratory of the Smithsonian Institution, the Canadian Conservation Institute of the Department of Communications, and the Tate Gallery. Speakers included Charles Costain, Nicholas Serota, Paul Marcon, Ross Merril, and Nancy McGary.
