Abstract
A three-phase investigation on the use of xerography for color printing was conducted. The first phase studied the feasibility of using xerography to produce clear prints on textiles and to identify textile toner candidates. The second phase demonstrated continuous xerographic, single-color printing of polyester/cotton sheeting fabric. The third phase involved scale-up to continuous, three-color complex printing in 3-feet widths. Textile color xerography was shown to be a feasible route to waterless, complex printing with pigment and binders.
