Abstract
The most valuable property of polypropylene is its versatility. It can be tailored to many fabrication methods and applications. Polypropylene has excellent chemical resistance, the lowest density, and the highest melting point of any thermoplastic. The chemical structure and physical properties of polypropylene are reviewed. Applications of polypropylene, including its most important use as a fiber, are discussed.
