Abstract
Using the Tegernseer Manuscript, the author has attempted mechanical and technical reconstruction of the processes. Not all pressed brocade was made with wooden molds, but this method at least ranks equally with metal molds, which had been presumed to be the predominant method. Thus the whole process was reconstructed to gain substantial evidence. Experiments with lead and copper molds were also made, but the results were not satisfactory.
