Abstract

More than 500 panes from the 13th to the 16th century still exist in 35 windows of the Cathedral of Freiburg. They have been restored by carefully removing dirt and an artificially applied patina, by protecting the black paint and by gluing broken parts with an epoxy-resin. All windows are sheltered by protective windows.
