Abstract
The efflorescence of historic stone was studied. The weathering degrees come mainly from original stone quality, physical, chemical, biological effects and destruction from mankind. In the article, the inorganic and organic consolidants commonly used in historic stone conservation are investigated, including their characteristics, applications and consolidation techniques. This work should be helpful in the conservation of stone cultural heritage. -- ICCROM
