Abstract
In order to protect a Neolithic site that lies in Lajia village, Minhe county, Qinghai province, 21 skeletons from four remains of dwelling were consolidated in situ. According to the condition investigation of the archaeological bones and their burial surroundings, and based on comparing experiments, a solution of Sanjia Resin in xylene and acetone (6 : 4 in volume) was chosen to be the consolidant, and the operation was done by dripping slowly many times. The importance of field conservation with related problems is discussed throughout the case. -- ICCROM
