Abstract
Whole-cloth quilts are showpieces of the straightness, evenness, and smallness of a quiltmaker's stitches. Patterns for whole-cloth quilts are hard to find because even small ones are too unwieldy to fit in most books. Information on designing and laying out full-size patterns is provided. Fabric selection, marking and marking tools, and the particulars of marking dark fabrics are also discussed. Quilting design and templates for a Queen Mary quilt are depicted.
