The textile collection at Brodsworth Hall, which includes furnishing and domestic textiles, was treated against infestations of carpet beetle, fur beetle, and moth. The method applied to the majority of textiles was deep-freezing in a single session, carried out in situ in an industrial freezer unit, followed by checking and removal of insect remains. The article describes the application of this treatment under the particular circumstances.
