Abstract
Provides general information on x-ray radiography and betagraphy as applied to archaeological artifacts. A study revealed a concretion of beads and a disc clustered together although not noticeable by visual inspection. The x-ray radiography of the cluster disclosed that the disc has cuneiform script on it which is assigned to the period of Assyrian King Shalmaneser I. Two other studies were performed on the metal artifacts: an armor and a latch. Betagraphy was applied to the armor cloth. X-ray radiography was applied to tablets, in spite of the limitations of the technique, and further information was obtained about enveloped letter tablets. -- AATA
