Abstract

This entry describes the effects of additives on the dezincification of alpha-brasses. The experiments were carried out at 800 degrees C in vacuum. Ag of group 1, Al and Ga of 3, Si, Ge and Sn of group 4, Cr of group 6, Mn of group 7, and Fe, Co and Ni of group 8 in the periodic table were selected as the additive elements.
