Abstract
The analysis of thermal patterns by means of ir scanning is a valuable non-destructive technique. An ir tv camera is used to obtain the local emissivity and form factors. Image processing is then used to obtain correct thermal images of the object undergoing a thermal transient. The technique has been applied to one of ghiberti's panels. -- ICCROM
