Abstract
A perkin-elmer infrared spectrometer model m13, with infrared microscope model 85 was used. The experimetal technique is described in detail, including sample preparation. Cross sections were prepared of samples containing different paint layers. Results obtained with test paintings and with dutch 18th and 19th century paintings are described. -- ICCROM
