Abstract
Recent developments of heat-sealing of fragile textiles to a supporting fabric. Usually the textile is sealed to a thin polyester crepe or muslin using poly (vinyl acetate) to impregnate the entire support. This results in a great decrease of flexibility, but the disadvantage can be overcome by local impregnation of the support, e. G., in a pattern of dots or lines.
