The present paper deals with the application of magnetic and electric geophysical exploration techniques to a certain area of the archaeological site of Dion in Pieria (Northern Greece). The aim of this work was to assist the archaeological project and to realize the relative merits and disadvantages of certain techniques applied to a certain site. Useful conclusions have been obtained in this respect and these conclusions can be used as exploration guides to future works at the vast area of Dion. -- AATA
