Abstract
The present paper deals with the application of the magnetic surveying technique to a prehistoric site which is located near the modern village of Mandalo in the province of Pella (Western Macedonia). The prehistoric site had the form of a tumulus containing more than ten occupation levels. The survey was carried out by measuring at two different height levels, one with the sensor 1 m and the other 2.2 m above the ground. By measuring in such a manner, it was possible to use a relatively large grid unit and to reduce it whenever large values of the measured differential were encountered. -- AATA
