Sherds from the different levels and phases of Ikiztepe I and Ikiztepe II have been dated by quartz inclusion techniques of thermoluminescence (TL). The site has the cultural continuity from Chalcolithic period to Late Bronze Age. Most of the TL results were found to be in agreement with archaeological evidence and corrected carbon-14 dates of the associated levels. Some sherds had indicated much higher ages than expected due to inadequate firing of the pots. -- AATA
