Abstract
Resides in archaeological pottery, presumably consisting of food remains or resins, and reference samples of these same materials were analyzed by thin layer chromatography. No individual foods could be identified. Differences between chloroform extracts of fresh resins become less pronounced after heat treatment intended to simulate depositional aging.
