Abstract
The art museums of Denmark, under the leadership of the Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery), have been working on a joint database project since 1985 for the purpose of coordinating the inventories of their collections. From the outset, concern for future art historical research were taken into consideration in the design of the database. -- AATA
