In response to an article in this magazine entitled Deteriorating Books (Feb., 1979), Robert Goldsmith of Research Corporation has written a brief letter to the editor to mention a gaseous deacidification process, developed at the Barrow Research Laboratories, which is available for use by libraries and bookbinders. The process uses morpholine as a neutralizing agent, believed by Research Corporation to be less dangerous than diethyl zinc. -- AATA
